Employee handbook & policy pack
A people agent drafts or updates your employee handbook and people policies from your inputs and published model policies; an HR/legal reviewer runs a ripple-and-promise check before you review and adopt.
What it installs
Agents 2
-
People Agent
Drafts and updates the handbook and people policies as a draft for review.
-
HR/Legal Reviewer
A reviewer who finds a change's ripple effects before they become inconsistencies.
Teams 1
-
Handbook Desk
A people agent who drafts handbook sections from model policies, paired with an HR/legal reviewer who runs the ripple-and-promise check before the draft reaches a human.
Workflows 1
-
Scope, source, draft, ripple check, approve
Scope the sections, source from model policies, draft with [review] flags, run the ripple-and-promise check, and hand off for review.
Documents 1
-
Handbook outline
The section structure of your handbook — your editable list of which sections are in scope. Add, remove, or reorder sections to tell the agent what to build.
Skills 3
-
policy-starter
Draft people/HR policies from published model policies adapted to the org: scope the sections first, source every rule (no invention), flag every judgment call `[review]`, and ship a draft-for-review with a sources block and adoption checklist. Adapted from anthropics/claude-for-legal/policy-starter.
-
handbook-updates
Diff a proposed handbook change against the current version and find the ripples: cross-references that break, state supplements that go obsolete or are newly needed, and benefit reductions that carry jurisdictional risk. Adapted from anthropics/claude-for-legal/handbook-updates.
-
onboarding
Generate the onboarding section: pre-start checklist, Day-1 and Week-1 plan, 30/60/90 goals, key contacts, and tool-access list — so the handbook and a new hire's first week stay consistent. Adapted from anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/onboarding and smb-onboard.

Requirements
What this template expects to do its job. Task Machine does not verify these — you decide whether your setup is ready.
- Web search and fetch access for policy research — Policies are sourced from current published model policies and the operative law for your jurisdiction, not invented. Currency and source attribution depend on the runtime's web search and fetch tools; without them the agent drafts from your inputs and the outline and notes that sources could not be verified.
- Browser access to your document storage — To read the current handbook and write the updated draft back, the agent works in your document storage through its web interface in your browser and pauses for your approval before changing anything. Until you connect it, it works from the attached handbook export and delivers the draft as a document.
