Vendor & tool review pack
When a vendor or tool needs a decision, an ops analyst maps the existing agreements, scores the candidate on fit, security, cost, and viability, models total cost of ownership, and writes a recommendation memo a reviewer stress-tests — then lands one approval where you decide.
What it installs
Agents 2
-
Vendor Analyst
Researches a vendor or tool against the weighted rubric and total-cost model and writes the recommendation memo.
-
Review Lead
Independently checks the memo's sourcing, cost model, and risk grid before it reaches the human.
Teams 1
-
Vendor Review Team
An analyst who builds the evaluation and a reviewer who stress-tests the evidence and the math.
Workflows 1
-
Vendor review
Map agreements, score and cost the candidate, draft the memo, stress-test it, and hand off for approval.
Documents 1
-
Scorecard & comparison matrix
The reusable scoring rubric, the side-by-side comparison matrix for head-to-head decisions, and the risk grid.
Skills 4
-
vendor-check
Check the status of existing agreements with a vendor across CLM, CRM, email, and document storage — a consolidated view of what's signed and what's missing (MSA, DPA, SOW, SLA), with a gap analysis and upcoming expirations. Adapted from anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/vendor-check.
-
vendor-review
Evaluate a vendor with structured analysis: total cost of ownership, risk assessment, performance, and fit, ending in a Proceed / Negotiate / Pass recommendation with negotiation points and (for multi-vendor) a side-by-side matrix. Adapted from anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/vendor-review.
-
price-check
Build a cost-and-margin view and model pricing scenarios from real cost and revenue data, presenting comparable numbers (never a single recommended price) so the decision-maker sees the full financial picture. Adapted from anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/price-check.
-
compliance-check
Run a compliance check on adopting a vendor or tool: surface applicable regulations (GDPR, CCPA, HIPAA, etc.), required approvals, certifications to verify, and risk areas, with a Proceed / Proceed-with-conditions / Requires-review assessment. Adapted from anthropics/knowledge-work-plugins/compliance-check.

Requirements
What this template expects to do its job. Task Machine does not verify these — you decide whether your setup is ready.
- Browser access to your contract & procurement systems — The agent works in your CLM, procurement, and document storage through their web interfaces in your browser and pauses for your approval before making any changes. Until you connect them, it works from attached exports (MSAs, SOWs, DPAs, proposals) and the relevant document.
- Web search and fetch access for vendor research — The agent searches the web and fetches vendor pages, security pages, status histories, and pricing to ground the evaluation. Research quality depends on this access.
