Work timeline

Open Timeline from Pulse when you need to see when work ran and what is expected next. It places actual Runs and future schedule markers together without inventing a duration for work that has not started.

Read the bars and markers

Finished Runs are bars from their recorded start to finish. Active Runs extend to the Now marker. One-time schedules and recurring occurrences appear as points because their duration is not yet known.

Workflow schedules can appear before they create a backing Task. Future work is not hidden merely because it will start through a Workflow.

Choose the scale and date range

Use Hourly to compare short Runs within a local day and Daily for a wider operational view. Times follow your timezone. Hours use a 24-hour clock and day labels include the month.

Scroll horizontally to inspect neighboring dates without compressing every Run into the screen. The next range joins the same axis while the work already under your viewport stays in place.

Previous, Today, and Next provide direct navigation while retaining the selected scale. The Now marker begins centered when it falls within the initial range.

Group by responsibility

Timeline groups by Goal by default. Switch to Project or Agent when that better explains the work.

Goal and Project grouping follow the Task's current organization. Moving a Task therefore moves its visible Run history into the destination group.

Agent grouping follows the Agent that performed each Run. One Task can appear in several Agent lanes when several Agents contributed.

Inspect a Task without losing your place

Hover or focus a Run or schedule point to see its Task card. Recorded Active duration and accumulated cost appear when available, and all visible Runs for that Task highlight together.

More Tasks load as you scroll without resetting the chart's position. Open the Task or its Run history when you need the underlying evidence.

Distinguish duration from active effort

The Timeline draws actual Runs, including Runs that are not counted as successful active effort. A Task's Active duration adds completed, successful work sessions and excludes automatic blocked and pull-request rechecks, unsuccessful Runs, and the gaps between sessions.
